Case Analysis of a False Trip Alarm During a 35 kV BZT Cold Load Transfer Operation

  • The D6000 centralized control system frequently generates false alarms during cross-station correlated operations, stemming from the inherent limitations of its single-station logic. Taking a false alarm event caused by a 35 kV Backup Automatic Transfer (BZT) cold load transfer operation as an example, this paper analyzes the defects of event-based alarm logic in non-fault automatic switching scenarios. The study finds that, due to the lack of identification of source side operation behavior, the signal combination generated by the BZT action, namely "switch position change, general accident signal, and protection trip", satisfies the conventional accident criteria, leading to system misjudgment. To address this problem, this paper proposes introducing the nature of source side operations as a blocking condition and constructing cross station topological correlation constraints to resolve such false alarms, thereby providing a reference for wide area logic optimization in centralized control systems.
