Adaptive Localization Method for Symmetrical Short-Circuit Fault Sections in Rural Power Grids

  • The localization of symmetrical short-circuit fault sections in rural power grids is a critical technical aspect of distribution system operation and maintenance. This paper analyzes the operational data characteristics of typical rural distribution networks and studies the design process of an adaptive section localization method based on the fusion of transient and steady-state fault quantities. A distributed implementation scheme is proposed, combining high-precision data acquisition and transmission, adaptive criterion generation, and operation and maintenance linkage, aiming to construct a high-precision and rapid fault localization system adaptable to multi-branch topologies.
