Research on Coordinated Optimal Dispatch of Hydropower and Energy Storage Systems

  • This paper addresses the dispatch problem of hydropower systems with energy storage systems, constructing a three-dimensional objective optimization model that integrates economic cost minimization, energy utilization efficiency maximization, and system stability maximization. An adaptive genetic algorithm is adopted for solving the model. Simulation experiments based on an actual cascade hydropower plant show that using this model and algorithm, the combined output of the hydropower and energy storage systems effectively tracks the load demand curve. The output allocation of each hydropower station in different time periods is reasonable and stable, achieving comprehensive optimization of power generation cost, energy utilization rate, and system stability.
