Application of Multi-rotor UAV in Transmission Line Inspection and Ground Hook-up

  • To address high-risk operations in power line inspection and ground wire installation, this study develops an intelligent multi-rotor UAV system. The six-rotor carbon fiber platform integrates RTK-GNSS/INS navigation and multi-sensor obstacle avoidance, achieving wind resistance of ≥15 m/s and rugged terrain adaptability. It combines 3D electric field sensing with anti-interference algorithms for non-contact voltage detection and employs a force-feedback robotic arm for dynamic wire hooking (97.3% success rate). Field tests demonstrate 4.6 times higher efficiency than manual work and an obstacle response time of ≤0.3 seconds, offering a safe, efficient smart grid solution.
