Abstract:
To address the low efficiency and high risk caused by severe slippage of pole climbers, which ranges from 10 to 20 cm during pole and tower climbing operations on transmission lines in rainy, snowy, and freezing weather, an innovative anti-slip device for pole climbers is developed based on the results of quality control activities. The device adopts a foldable pawl locking structure. The high-strength stainless steel pawls are embedded into the ice layer on the pole surface to form physical anchoring, which significantly improves the gripping force. Simulation and field tests show that the slippage distance is stably controlled within 0.2 to 0.4 cm, and physical exertion is reduced. The device has low cost and strong applicability, providing an effective solution for pole climbing under extreme weather conditions.
