Abstract:
To address the challenges of communication reliability in traditional distribution network differential protection, this study designs a differential protection scheme for distribution networks based on 5G technology. By constructing an architecture that integrates intelligent protection terminals with 5G communication modules, the scheme adopts two redundancy strategies: redundancy across operators and multi band and network slice redundancy within a single operator network. An intelligent switching decision logic is also developed to provide highly reliable communication support for distribution network differential protection. Simulation results show that the proposed scheme achieves the expected targets in terms of communication delay, data transmission reliability, and correct operation of protection actions.
