Abstract: This paper shares insights into the management of urban fiber optic cables. It focuses on three aspects: the current operational status of urban optical cables, common existing issues, and the conceptual design of improvement plans. A collaborative working model is proposed, involving government-enterprise coordination, enterprise cooperation, and professional collaboration, and is validated through an engineering case study. This study offers practical reference value for future operation, maintenance, construction, and route optimization of urban power optical cables.
