Abstract:
The metal corrosion of overhead transmission lines is more common. Due to the influence of factors such as line channel environment and metal material of transmission lines, metals such as overhead transmission line towers, fittings, ground wires, and pull wires are susceptible to corrosion. Long-term corrosion will lead to the decline of mechanical properties and mechanical properties of overhead transmission lines. The investigation and treatment of corrosion hazards are not in place, and events such as pole falling and wire breaking are prone to occur, thus affecting the safe and stable operation of the power grid. This paper briefly describes the characteristics of metal corrosion of overhead transmission lines, introduces the evaluation method of conductor and ground wire corrosion, and summarizes and puts forward relevant risk prevention suggestions based on the analysis of typical cases of metal corrosion of overhead transmission lines, so as to provide reference for the prevention and control of metal corrosion of overhead transmission lines.
