Abstract:
As the most fundamental and widely used communication transmission carrier, power communication optical cables are of great significance for ensuring the stable operation of the power system and reliable transmission of power services. Firstly, the paper presents a case of optical cable interruption caused by freezing at the 220 kV BD substation. Then, based on on-site emergency repair observations, the defects and root causes of the downlead optical cable interruption in the substation are analyzed. Finally, the paper puts forward the key points of construction control and inspection for potential hazards for the laying of optical cables, aiming to provide some help for the construction, operation, and maintenance of optical cables. the paper proposes key recommendations on construction control and hazard identification for optical cable installation, serving as a reference for the construction and maintenance of power communication systems.
