Development of a Controllable Device for Stripping the Semi-Conductive Layer of Cables

  • The coverage rate of cable in the urban distribution network is on the rise. The manufacturing process of cable intermediate joints, particularly the stripping process of the semi-conductive layer, plays a crucial role in ensuring the stable operation of the cable. Traditional methods involving horizontal and vertical cutting with an electrician knife followed by tearing with needle-nose pliers often lead to issues such as unconnected ring incisions and inconsistent horizontal cutting depths. To address this challenge, a controllable device for stripping cable semi-conductive layers has been developed. This innovative device features simple operation, adjustable tool direction rotation, and visible cutting depth control. By enabling precise ring and longitudinal cuts while maintaining accurate cutting depth control, it effectively enhances both the process and quality of manufacturing cable intermediate joints.
