Development and Application of Box Type Substation under the Background of Three Transformations Requirements for Urban Road Power Box

  • In response to the problems of excessive size, too many quantity, and unsuitable location of existing power box in Beijing, various box type substations that meet the requirements of "invisibility, miniaturization, and landscaping " (referred to as "three transformations") have been developed. Through field research in multiple locations, multiple specific solutions have been proposed to meet the requirements of the three transformations. By developing multiple types of standard type, caisson type and semi-buried type of box type substations, we have meet the needs of the three transformations in various scenarios such as alleys, parks, street shops, between roadside trees, and isolation belts. This paper provides some specific solutions for the design of box type substation structures and shows the application effect of these new box type substation in practical scenarios.
