Abstract
Design wind speed is one of the basic elements in the design of overhead lines. The higher the design wind speed value, the greater the wind resistance ability of the tower, and the lower the probability of events exceeding the design wind speed. This article proposes a research method for the wind resistance capacity of transmission lines based on three factors: tower wind resistance reliability, design meteorological load recurrence period, and load factor.
