Development of Insulating Baffles for Discharge Clamping Insulators

  • With the improvement of the requirements for insulation protection of distribution lines, the line operation and maintenance unit proposed that live working should be used to remove the elephant trunk arc starting rod of the discharge clamping insulator and restore the insulation of the conductor here. However, due to the lack of special shielding tools, the above work cannot be implemented. In this paper, an insulation baffle for clamping insulator of discharge is proposed, which can effectively shield the clamping insulator, ensure that the operator will not touch the live body and the grounding body at the same time, play a good role in limiting protection, and effectively improve the safety of operation.
